DECEMBER 2021

You're the reason we are so grateful - Thank you!

We are humbled by and so appreciative of the amazing support we received this Colorado Gives Day. We want to give a big thank you to Clint Packo and Freestone AquaticsAnglers All (abandoned mine restoration), Barb Luneau and Mark Rayman (youth education), and Chip Stark (fire recovery) for their matching donations that helped us to raise even more funds for our work around the state! We look forward to 2022 and to continuing our coldwater conservation work in Colorado.

It's still not too late to give back to the rivers and trout in Colorado. Now through the end of the year, you can support Colorado Trout Unlimited's mission with premium gifts from Rep Your Water, Fishpond, and Colorado fly shops, starting at donations of $50.

Every RareWaters Membership Gives Back

Colorado Trout Unlimited and RareWaters have partnered up! $25 of every RareWaters Cutthroat Membership is donated to CTU. Sign up here!

RareWaters' mission is to spread the power of the outdoors and inspiration to conserve it. They're doing this by building a community of fly anglers and landowners. Anglers can book private ranches for fly fishing access, while ranching families are able to earn passive income. Visit their website!

Denver Water provided all labor and equipment for implementation and Grand County contributed materials. The Cabin Creek AOP project is another example of what can be accomplished through LBD’s collaborative efforts. Continue Reading

Improving the Canyon Creek Fish Passage

This large culvert runs beneath I-70 just west of Glenwood Springs and connects the majority of Canyon Creek with its final stretch before joining the Colorado River. It has been an impediment to fish swimming upstream to spawn, but not anymore. Continue Reading
