Show some love for your public lands

Valentine's Day is this week and we would like to ask that we take some time to celebrate and share love for our public lands.  Something that helps take care of and support our public lands is the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which  uses royalties paid on offshore oil and gas development to support the conservation of our land and water. Every year, $900 million in royalties paid by energy companies drilling for oil and gas on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) are put into this fund. Unfortunately, that dedicated stream of revenue is regularly raided for other purposes in the annual politics of the appropriations process.

Not cool - our public lands deserve better.

So, in the spirit of Valentine's Day, please take a minute to show some love for our public lands.
