• Colorado’s three native cutthroat trout subspecies – Greenback, Colorado River, and Rio Grande – are a part of our state’s natural legacy that we need to protect for present and future generations.

  Your tax-deductible donation will support native trout efforts such as these:

• Restoring greenback cutthroat trout in 40+ miles of the Poudre headwaters including Long Draw Reservoir – the largest native trout restoration project in Colorado history;
• Installing fish barriers in streams like Rock Creek, to protect native trout habitat from upstream invasion by non-native fish;
• Helping Colorado Parks and Wildlife reintroduce native trout into quality habitats where they can survive and thrive;
• Improving habitat in key native trout strongholds like southwest Colorado’s Hermosa Creek drainage;
• Building public awareness of our native trout heritage through education and outreach programs.

• You can make a donation to support Colorado TU native trout programs generally – with your dollars used where they are most needed – or direct them to a specific subspecies if you’d like to see your gift applied to help the native fish in your home region.
